Hôtel de Pavie
The Hostellerie de Plaisance welcomes as its origin, travelers from all over the world to discover the most famous cities of wine: Saint-Emilion. Nestled in the heart of the historic center, the Hostellerie consists of two houses connected by a garden with a thousand flowers. Staying at the Hostellerie de Plaisance, is to offer a unique parenthesis in the heart of the medieval city and enjoy an unforgettable stay in Saint-Emilion.
A picturesque medieval town, Saint-Emilion was founded in the eighth century by a Breton monk called Emilion. Unique in the world for its troglodyte structures and its Romanesque architecture, Saint-Emilion is among the most visited sites in France. The village also gives its name to one of the most prestigious wine region, full of history, Roman times. Surrounded by 5 400 hectares of vines, it is the first vineyard to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site being a "cultural landscape" dated from 1999. Ideally located in the heart of the village, the Hostellerie de Plaisance, offers a breathtaking panorama over the mosaic of the roofs and the vines as far as the eye can see.
The team at Hostellerie de Plaisance welcomes you to a 5* hôtel whose history is intimately linked with its walls which were built above the monolithic church, one of the few churches of this type present in France. The hotel offers 13 rooms and 4 suites, which are located within two buildings in the village property, as well as 3 rooms and 1 suite at the Residence Pavie, 3 kilometers from the village, in the heart of Château Pavie vineyard "1st Grand Cru Classé A". Elegant baroque style, the decoration of the rooms is entirely signed by the agency Alberto Pinto, known throughout the world for its “haute-couture” decor.
We also introduce our gastronomic restaurant "La Table de Plaisance", awarded 2 Michelin stars, thanks to the Breton Chef Ronan Kervarrec, and his teams. Completely renovated in 2017 by the agency Alberto Pinto, the dining room is a jewel of contemporary and refined style. The chef is inspired by his childhood and his Innkeeper father from Hennebont, in Brittany, to deliver a"Cuisine de souvenir" full of emotion like a "Madeleine de Proust". An authentic and real cuisine, simple and legible. Teamwork between cooks and pastry chefs, staged by a professional and welcoming team delivering fine service. The Chef works closely with producers, the land and the seasons. Passionate men and women, who share the pleasure of creativity in finesse, many talents that we are pleased to enable you to discover La Table de Plaisance.
