The Grand Médoc Châteaux Marathon
6 - 8 September
On September 7, 2024, the Médoc Châteaux Marathon returns !
Sport and wine
Ranked by the Americans as one of the 10 most beautiful marathons in the world, the Marathon du Médoc is certainly top of the list for its conviviality and colourful, festive atmosphere. The event starts the day before and finishes on Sunday, for runners and those who support them, with entertainment, good food, tastings, dancing and fireworks, in Pauillac and the surrounding towns.
An eco-responsible marathon
For several years now, the Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc has been taking numerous steps to make this race an eco-responsible event. Here are just a few examples of what we're doing:
- 50% minimum responsible food consumption
- Encouraging public transport and car sharing
- Purchases incorporating "corporate social responsibility" selection criteria
- Reducing waste and recovering and/or recycling waste
- Respect for natural sites
- Optimisation of energy expenditure
- Accessibility for people with disabilities
- And much more!
