Golf in bordeaux and its surroundings

In Gironde, when temperatures are mild, discover the world of Golf In Bordeaux:

4 winegrowing terroirs, 11 golf courses,… Just waiting for you to enjoy!

A golf course in the city? How convenient! Bordeaux Métropole is home to three golf courses. You’ll find the Golf Bordelais in the heart of Caudéran (18 holes). The area also houses the Bordeaux-Lac golf course with its two 18-hole courses and a pitch & putt in a green setting, and the Pessac golf course with its fairways lined with pine trees and lakes on a 120-hectare estate for an 18-hole course, a 9-hole course and a pitch & putt.

Just 2 minutes from Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, Golf Practice Academy is the only fully-connected golf facility in Gironde, with 28 practice bays all equipped with TRACKMAN RANGE technology, offering modern, fun and high-performance golf.

The five golf courses of Arcachon Bay are the ideal spots to practice your best swing amidst the ocean and pine-scented breeze: the Aiguilles Vertes in Lanton (9 holes), is perfect for getting warmed up; the International Golf of Arcachon (18 holes) on the edge of the Bay of Arcachon, near the Dune du Pyla; the golf of Gujan (27 holes) is reminiscent of Florida with its diverse range of courses shaped in relation to the surrounding nature; nestled between two dunes, the golf of Biscarrosse is more technical with its narrow fairways; and the golf of Cap-Ferret, (9 holes + pitch & putt), is the region’s only illuminated golf course.
Keen for a golf session in the vineyards? Set in the heart of the Médoc pine forest, the Lacanau golf course (18 holes) is enchanting. The Margaux golf course (18 holes) stretches across 45 hectares of forests and small lakes and boasts beautiful views of the estuary. Moors, pines, wide fairways lined with heather: the Médoc golf course is reminiscent of Scotland with its two 18-hole courses and its 4-star Resort hotel. A regular prize winner, it is ranked 3rd of the best French golf courses by the Rolex guide in 2010, and Best French Golf in 2016 for its châteaux course (World Golf Awards). Close to Saint-Émilion, nestled amidst hills and vineyards, the 18-hole Teynac golf club is home to a restaurant in an old wine storehouse and offers guest rooms in a dovecote. In the Entre-Deux-Mers area, the 18-hole Cameyrac and 18-hole Graves & Sauternais golf courses are worth a visit. In the Dordogne region, discover the impressive Château des Vigiers golf course and its 17th-century castle transformed into a 4-star hotel, with three restaurants and three 9-hole courses which allow several combinations of 18 holes.
