"Crossed Portraits" exhibition by Sacha Goldberger
3 July - 7 September
Discover Sacha Goldberger's new summer exhibition at the Grand Théâtre!
Public figures from every angle
Conceived in the midst of the Covid crisis, the "Portraits Croisés" series is based on a simple idea: transform personalities from the worlds of film, song, theatre and literature into emblematic figures of culture, real or fictional, current or historical. François Berléand becomes a larger-than-life Victor Hugo, Matthieu Chedid takes on the features of Charlie Chaplin, Guillaume Gallienne plays a striking Molière, Olivia Ruiz transforms herself into Barbarella, Joey Starr becomes Toussaint Louverture...
In all, more than forty of the world's leading cultural figures took part in this subtle game of portraits devised by Sacha Goldberger and his team. Sometimes moving, often funny, these portraits are a pictorial tribute to cultural diversity and artistic diversity. Sacha Goldberger shares his passion for culture in all its forms with all those who have contributed to this vast project.
