Château Marquis de Vauban
Château Marquis de Vauban/Château Le Cône is an 18th century estate where the Duc de Saint-Simon lived during the reign of Louis XIII. The statue of the Marquis de Vauban stands in the gardens, proudly pointing its finger at the Citadel of Blaye.
The current owners acquired the Chateau in 2001, enlarged the estate and modernised production while restoring the old estate.
They can be proud of the fact that they offer a complete range of wine-tourism services: guided tours of the estate and the vineyard, tastings indoors (6 €) or in the course of a wine grower’s lunch, a horse-drawn tour of the Citadel, discovery days and stays.
Château Marquis de Vauban/Château Le Cone have a complete offer of services for wine vacations : guided tours of the winery and vineyard - wine tastings - lunches - horse-drawn carriage rides in the Citadelle. Camper-vans can be parked in the vineyard.
