Château Le Grand Verdus
In the Le Grix de la Salle family since 1810, Château Le Grand Verdus is a family winery dedicated to the AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, Bordeaux Blanc & Bordeaux Rosé. It is also one of the witnesses of this new surge of modernity and agroecological responsibility which is taking hold in Bordeaux area.
Located in Sadirac, in the heart of the Entre Deux Mers, Thomas and Edouard Le Grix de la Salle are now in charge of the family winery. Complementary, they both brought their Savoir-Faire in the family business.
For several years, wines are aged stainless steel / concrete tanks but also in amphorae and Burgundy barrels. The organic conversion of 115 hectares of vines (2023), plantation of grape varieties "outside Bordeaux" (Syrah in 2019, Chenin in 2021) demonstrat their desir to develop the estate without giving up traditional Bordeaux values.
Diversity is the key: 50 plots and large altitude variations creates a complex mosaic of soils; alternately limestones, clays and gravels. Assets which naturally outline the unique personality of Grand Verdus wines. Originals cuvées, unique in their style.
Today Le Grand Verdus opens its doors to offer an experience rich in architecture, history and flavors. Enjoy moment with friends for a visit and tasting with the possibility of a picnic basket in the garden of the estate.
