Château du Taillan
20-minutes far from Bordeaux downtown, Château du Taillan a family estate on the Medoc’s wines road and one of the last urban vineyard, located at Le Taillan Médoc, since the Middle Ages.
12-kilometers far from Bordeaux, on the Medoc's wines road, stop and follow the long driveway until seeing the Château du Taillan, a eighteenth century listed building with its harmonious facades and a pink marble altarpiece that closes the long terrace .
Henry Cruse acquired a 150 hectares wine estate including 30 of vineyards in 1986. It belongs to his five daughters since 1992. The tour passes through a fifteenth century winery and technical facilities (vat, new barrel cellar) and a fitness room.
You can also enjoy a Haut-Médoc wine tasting with cold cuts and cheeses, and buy few bottles, or make shopping but do not leave without taking a few steps in the old park.
