Château Le Crock
Located on the Marbuzet plateau, between the prestigious Châteaux Cos d’Estournel and Montrose, the gravelly soils of the 32-hectare vineyard are worked throughout the year to allow the vine to take root deeply and reveal the complexity and richness of the St Estèphe terroir.
The grapes are hand-harvested. After plot-by-plot vinification in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats, the wine is aged traditionally for 18 months in French oak barrels.
The vat house was renovated in 1999 and the barrel cellar in 2010. The renovation and construction of viticultural facilities and warehouse are ongoing.
Château Le Crock benefits from the expertise of Chateau Leoville Poyferré: the same owners, the same in-house oenologist, Isabelle Davin since 2000, and the same consulting oenologist, Michel Rolland, since 1994.
The wines present a deep red color, complex tannins, exceptional structure, and aromatic finesse. They can be enjoyed in their youth, but possess great aging potential.
Tours and tastings are available without appointment from 11:00 to 18:30 every day in July and August (except public holidays). Come and visit us!
Feel free to picnic in the parc and relax with a game of croquet!
